Kukugo ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what
personal information we collect when you visit kukugo.com.au or buy from us,
how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We are a small business based in Sydney, Australia. ABN 15 462 184 148.

WHAT WE COLLECT
Information you give us
- Name, email address, phone number, delivery address and billing address when
you place an order
- Your email address if you subscribe to our mailing list
- Your dog's breed, weight and measurements if you send them to us for sizing
help
- Any other information you include when you contact us
- Your social media handle and postal address if you take part in our ambassador
or gifting program
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type, operating system, screen size and language
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Pages you view, links you click, how long you spend on each page, and the site
or ad that referred you
- Items you view, add to cart, and purchase
We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Card payments are
processed by our payment providers, who handle that information under their own
security standards.

- To process, pack and deliver your order, and to contact you about it
- To handle returns, exchanges and warranty claims
- To answer your questions, including sizing questions
- To send marketing emails, if you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe from any
email)
- To understand how the site is used and improve it
- To measure how our advertising performs and to show relevant ads
- To detect and prevent fraud
- To meet our legal and tax obligations
COOKIES AND TRACKING
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the site
to work — keeping items in your cart, remembering you are logged in, processing
checkout. Others are used for analytics and advertising.
The third-party tools we currently use are:
- Shopify — hosts our store and processes orders
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager — how the site is used
- Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API — how our Facebook and Instagram ads
perform, and to show ads to people who have visited our site
- Google Merchant Center — to list our products in Google Shopping
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of
personalised advertising through your Facebook, Instagram and Google account
settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it only with the providers we need to run the business:
- Shopify — our e-commerce platform (order and customer data)
- Payment providers — Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay
and UnionPay, to process your payment
- Delivery carriers — your name, address and phone number, so your parcel arrives
- Meta and Google — advertising and analytics, as described above
- Shopify Collabs — if you take part in our ambassador program

- Professional advisers, and government or law enforcement bodies where we are
legally required to disclose
OVERSEAS TRANSFER
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United
States, Canada, Ireland and Singapore. By using our site you agree that your
information may be handled overseas. We take reasonable steps to use providers
with appropriate protections in place, but overseas recipients may not be subject
to Australian privacy law.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Order and transaction records: seven years, as required by Australian tax law.
Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, and then for a short period so we can
honour your unsubscribe.
Analytics data: as set by the retention settings of the tools above.
Enquiries: two years.
SECURITY
Our site runs over HTTPS and our store platform is PCI DSS compliant. Access to
customer data is limited to the people who need it to fill your order. No system
is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will tell
you and the relevant authorities if a data breach occurs that is likely to cause
you serious harm.
YOUR CHOICES
- Access — ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct — ask us to fix anything that is wrong or out of date
- Delete — ask us to delete your information, except where we are legally
required to keep it (such as tax records)
- Unsubscribe — click unsubscribe in any marketing email, or reply and ask
- Complain — email hello@kukugo.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our
response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information
Commissioner at oaic.gov.au
CHILDREN
Our products are for adults buying for their dogs. We do not knowingly collect
information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their
information, email us and we will delete it.
CHANGES
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the
change is significant we will let subscribers know by email.
